overall personality: Katherine can come off shy at first, usually keeping to herself unless approached by somebody else, but once she gets to know you she's can be very friendly, outgoing and sometimes even a bit flirty. She's pretty mature for her age, definitely not one to get caught up in drama like some of the other kids her age. If she can avoid drama, she will. She's a major tomboy and much rather be out in the barn getting dirty, mucking stalls or riding then staying in, painting her nails and fussing about what she's going to wear for the day. She can be a bit hotheaded at times and is very stubborn, occasionally lacking a bit of patience, but other that that she really is a good kid. She can be a bit sarcastic also, and usually she knows how to take a joke, but just in case she does take something the wrong way; typically she's a very forgiving person and sometimes trusts way to easily. history: Katherine grew up moving from place to place, they never really stayed in one house very long because her father was in the military, so they tended to get moved around quite a bit. Being the baby of the family and the only girl, having one older brother, Katherine got most of the attention as a kid. Her father had always wanted a little girl to call his little "princess" though Kat was exactly the opposite, her attitude which more like that of a boys then a girl. She never minded rough housing with her brother and his friends, and she grew up hating dresses and skirts, but nonetheless, her dad still treated her like a princess. This really didn't have to much of an affect on Katherine, really she actually didn't like all the attention, the one thing that was a benefit in her eyes was getting most of everything she wanted, that included a horse and riding lessons when she'd asked.
She began riding at the age of seven, her first pony her dad had bought her, but like everything with her father. He wasn't about to hand it to her for free, she was allowed to have a horse under the circumstances that she still put school first and she maintained good grades. From a very young age Kat had always loved horses, so she was very willing to push herself in her studies to be able to have one of her own. Although, when her grades started to drop in her first year of high school, her strict father kept to his deal he'd made and sold her horse. Katherine, upset and devastated went back to trying that much harder to get her grades up. Finally the following year she was able to bring in a better report card and her father allowed her to get another horse, soon after that she also rescued a second. Ever since she still struggles with her grades, but she couldn't stand the thought of losing her horses again. Now, with her mother having found a job as a Vet in Rosedale, her father now retired from the military, they plan on settling down here for awhile, at least until both Katherine and her brother graduate.
